On arrival at my home, you will be given a welcome drink (rum punch, local juice or water) & welcomed by myself (Anne Marie) & Keith (DJ Snake Oil.)

Barbados is the birthplace of rum and I will tell you about its beginnings, while teaching you how to create an authentic Rum Punch. This is where the fun begins - with lots of measuring, averaging & laughter, DJ Snake Oil will award prizes for the best tasting, as he sees are welcome to try influencing his decision!!!

With high spirits (pun intended) we next begin our lunch preparation. Our National Dish, Flying Fish & Cou Cou (polenta with a unique twist) is on the menu, along with Salted Cod Cakes, Red Herring Stew, Coconut Coleslaw or Pickled Avocado Salad (seasonal). Both Salted Cod & Red Herring were introduced into our diet from the days of slavery and I'll share their history with you. DJ Snake Oil keeps our hips swinging and our feet tapping the entire time and before you can blink twice, we'll be having lunch & washing it down with more rum punch.

After lunch, it's time to kick your heels up & learn to jiggle like a Bajan with DJ Snake Oil in charge.
